Blue on Blue

Recording Studio
Welcome to Blue on Blue Recording Studio!  We are located in Rochester, New York with a focus working with classical musicians and composers to create albums, music videos, concert recordings, and all other kinds of audio and video artistry.  Blue on Blue is owned and operated by Marc Webster, whose unique background as a classically-trained pianist with a substantial performance and production background in a variety of genres has enabled him to create  innovative productions of classical music in a fresh context of the modern recording studio.  Blue on Blue's work has been featured by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Lake George Music Festival, Moondance International Film Festival, Performance Today, fivebyfivemusic, Gibbs & Main String Quartet, flutist Laura Lentz, and harpist Amy Nam.

fivebyfive's Eclipse album is up for GRAMMY® consideration! Super proud of fivebyfive's fantastic performance and the amazing pieces by Jessica Meyer and Marc Mellits!  Here is more info and links to listen!  Recorded at Blue on Blue Recording.

Janus Guitar Duo: Issus (July, 2025)
Flutist Laura Lentz's fifth album Serendipity is Laura's most adventurous recording project to date, bringing together three major works written for her or commissioned with her involvement. At its heart, this album celebrates how serendipity — those “good chance encounters”— can open the door to new possibilities.

fivebyfive: Sonidos de Tlön (May, 2025)
Picture
fivebyfive's fourth album release features a new work by Grammy-nominated and Latin Grammy winner Roberto Sierra, "Sonidos de Tlön" commissioned by fivebyfive.

The inspiration for Sonidos de Tlön is the 1940 short story Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius by Jorge Luis Borges. The story describes Tlön, a fantastical place where, among other things, if you dance in a building you might find the building dances with you
